La Grange shield of the finest Museum quality. Very large, early old example in fine condition. Kimberley of Western Australia. Shield front is fully decorated in finely incised rats tooth tula chisel fluted lineal decoration. The reverse has a beautiful superior all over traditional tight interlocking key design and a superb raised handle. Surface displays a deep rich dark age patina. An important senior man of high degree ceremonial ritual status symbol.
